Special Recognition Earned in Botanicals Competition

"Soft Feathers Of Green" (shown below) received "Special Recognition" in the 9th Annual "Botanicals" Online Art Competition and Exhibition, sponsored by Light Space & Time.  I was surprised because I thought that "Found By Lovers and Noon Light" (top) had a better chance - if the jurors overlooked the rules that "botanical" images generally focus on one flower or tree.

The old saying is, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" . . . and there are lots of "beholders" who just see things differently.

Although I don't usually compete in the "Botanical" art events, I entered this one because Light Space & Time has always provided a professional, responsive and open-minded format in which to learn, meet other artists, and grow in personal skills.  I appreciated this learning experience.
