“Ghost Plane” is a Douglas C-47 Skytrain or Dakota - per James P Smith, Senior Program Manager, Global Cyber Security Engineering | Information Security.  (Thank you, James, my good friend of a decade.)

Bob Deever SMSgt (ret) USAF, my brother, says the variant craft shown here, is a “Spooky”.

Historically, the C47 dropped more than 50,000 paratroopers during the first few days of the D-Day campaign.

Knowing now, more facts about this military transport plane, I scanned Bob’s photo (that he took on their Million Air ramp) and filtered / layered it with effects to place it back in time . . . waiting in the English mist before take-off . . . so long ago.
