These two images tied for 4th place in the 2019 American Art Awards, Digital Representational category.
The "Transition Fortress" (top) foundation photo was given to me by a family member whose engineering background often merges with his other senses to lift his photography to its own art realm.
"Roll On" (bottom) was created from one of my foundation photos. In Europe, I learned the romance of rail wheels. They rolled me to glamorous locations - and to war-scarred tracks, now memorials to those who suffered . . . stretching for miles.
Although I don't create many black and white artworks, I thoroughly relish the mastery of artist colleagues whose black and white works can break hearts - and heal minds. Some messages just don't deliver in color.
Because River Dee Designs' purpose is to "comfort and encourage", you may wonder how these two award-winning images satisfy that mission. Both artworks demonstrate the structural strength of human aspiration . . . and the reassurance of life rolling forward.
Only 20 prints were made from each image. To bid, please contact us at riverdeedesigns@riverdeedesigns.com
