“WALTZ IN VIENNA”

In Chapter 4 of "1989" Book Three of the Historical Fiction Trilogy "Starlings of Peace", French financier takes his wife, son, and father-in-law to a magnificent ball. It takes place in the Redoute Ballroom of the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria.

They have just finished translating and interpreting for a Chinese association at the conclusion of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) - also held in the palace. Only a palace could host 35 nations wrangling terms of peace.
