Not only is the River Dee the source of our family name, the art it inspires flows throughout my whole family.

Although we work and live around the world, art ripples over and through our careers - and pours out in next generations.

Without enumerating the works of ancestors of centuries ago, in my own lifetime I learned of my grandmother's and mother's painting, my father's environmental compositions, the photography of all of my siblings (as well as their spouses and children) . . . and now, my brother's wood sculpturing.

Because his standards are so high, each sculpture is unique . . . it seems impossible to create a pattern for mass production.
