Also reviewed by LensCulture for the 2019 Art Photography Awards was, “Transition Fortress”. The principal photography for this image was provided by Garry Worthington, brother-in-law. Included in that review, were these comments:
“Transition Fortress” . . . is a very successful structural study that takes the area of the medium in a new direction of abstraction. Compositionally, it is near perfection and demonstrates an acute awareness of the edges of the frame. There is no unused space in this frame. The use of B&W here is a perfect choice. The color would have cheapened this effort.
Although family members generously give their original photos to me, they are consulted as the original is transformed into something new. It is through family member collaboration that final images offer a wide range of client choice in style and theme.
