“DANCERS IN BUDAPEST – AT NOON”

This is the third version of "Dancers in Budapest".  I gave it a more graphic feel – for the fun in all of us. I took this photo in 1969, when I crossed from Austria into what was labeled a communist country.  What I found, however, were people determined to be free. 

Later, in 1989, the scene was much the same.  Hungary was the first country to open its border to the West - which was the first major breach of the Iron Curtain and the Soviet Bloc.
