“DREAMS THROUGH MISTS OF BLUE”
When waiting by day, Evangeline could not see Gabriel through the murmuring pines – nor into the rocky caverns beyond.
Then, a night wind blew out the light. Evangeline saw him in a dream . . . and, the mist from the sea brought him back to her.
He remained in her dreams because there, he was safe . . . and, he looked so well in blue.
(Imagined from “Evangeline: A Tale Of Acadie” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, 1807 – 1882.)
