"Wise Moon Fills Your Dawn" . . . is for those with loved ones who are ill or injured.
"Shadows melt from the forest’s floor; and, the moon – who guarded your night – stirs you one soft sparkle at a time.
It’s good to be almost awake. You can still see and feel the dream – just a little more clearly."
Back Story: All of my artwork begins with a photograph - either one I've taken myself - or one taken by a family member, all of whom are gifted with an artistic eye.
When working with my own photographs, I completely forget why they were taken - because once loaded into the computer, the images take over their own destinies.
When the loaded photographs are given to me by a family member (who rarely sees things as I do), I'm forced to discard any pre-conceived notions. The final creation / composite (of more than one photograph) - is a collaboration . . . which involves negotiation and shared purpose.
The final step is to consider the interests and needs of those who will view and purchase the resulting artwork. When the artwork evolves into what it is to be, I think of someone who, yesterday, was not able to be what they wanted to be . . . and who needs to believe that today (or tomorrow) will provide the ambiance and conditions for triumph.
