Art From The Watch Tower

The foundation photo of this image was taken in the Arboretum, Overland Park, Kansas.  10 versions of the original photo were made to later be tested for the painting's foundation.  From the original photo, 12 digital painting layers were created.  Then, 9 composites of color saturated layers were created for the purpose of lifting specific elements.  7 master composites resulted. 

The first draft of the image was completed in January, 2020.  Unsatisfied with it, I set the artwork aside and came back to it two days ago - started over.

Today, I was satisfied enough with a completed version to publish it.  

Starting over is sometimes the best choice to make.
