The romantic ballet “Giselle” tells the story of an innocent beauty who is betrayed by a nobleman in disguise.

Giselle suffers heartbreak and death . . . then, is summoned from her grave in the forest - by vengeful ghosts urging her to retaliate.

Regretting his deception, the nobleman visits the forest to mourn at Giselle’s grave. The vindictive ghosts capture the nobleman – but Giselle frees him from their grasp.

By saving her deceiver, Giselle saves herself.
