Although I moved to Dallas in the 80’s to make money, I found romance.

My brother, Bob Deever, took the foundation photograph for “AFTER A DALLAS STORM” – and I was reminded of the sidewalk cafés – that lured fast-walking people from the streets – to the table . . .

where drops of rain still glistened after a storm . . .

where awnings sheltered quiet conversations . . .

where hands found their way into another’s grasp . . . and,

after the violence of a Texas storm, all would be well again.
