"Trees That Grow On Rock . . . " define their own beauty.

I shot the foundation photo of this image more than a year ago but didn’t feel it had a story until now.

It’s not easy to be a little tree, growing on rock with very little food and water – constantly searching for support for its roots – exposed to hazards and the realities of being alone.

So, the best thing for a little tree to do is to be smarter, stronger, braver – and more beautiful than it thinks possible. 

This little tree will grow – no matter what.
