FOR THE ROOM THAT DEFIES HABIT

“RED ISLANDS IN THE BLUE SEA” began as a different artwork . . . one with a view seen so often by so many.

When I loaded the original photograph into the computer - and after the strength of my preconceived notions about what I saw had diminished . . . I saw different colors, different lines . . . a different place altogether. 

It’s always balance, isn’t it?  To value what was and is a universal understanding . . . with something new, untried – and just a bit daunting.
