“GRANDMOTHER’S VALENTINE” 

"Grandmother's Valentine" is for those grandmothers:

+ who brought us to this country,

+ who graduated with a degree from a university before women could vote,

+ who entered a profession before society allowed,

+ whose bed was surrounded by her children when it was time to go.

I photographed this bouquet on Mother’s Day about 5 years ago.  Then, I added age and softened it a bit with a gentle pink treatment.
